Barking Mad Or Genius? Sign Your Dog Up For World Record Breaking Photo

Hundreds of dogs, market stalls, loads of activities for you and your pupper plus more at this world record attempt.

We all have dreams. Some of us dream that we meet our celebrity crush. Some of us dream of winning the lottery. Yvonne McGrath’s dream is to have the largest number of Border Collies in one photo… which is way cuter (and more realistic) than any of our dreams! Needing to beat the current record won’t come easy – on Sunday 24 September, she’ll need your help to beat 503 Border Collies in one photo without their owners, a record made at Dr Katrina Warren’s Border Collie Fun Day in 2013.

As the creator of Facebook group ‘Border-Collie Owners South-Australia’, Yvonne put the idea forward to her fellow members, and it immediately exploded from just a get-together and a photo into an all-day extravaganza with celebrities, stalls and activities for all.

With stallholders that’ll have everything your dog wants and needs – from treats, clothing, supplies, and even photography and nutrition services, you and your dog are set to have a field day loading up on everything they’ll need for the next few years.

There’ll be food and drink from The Bean Bug Mobile Coffee Cart, Little Blue Van, The Groovie Smoothie, and a good ol’ fashioned sausage sizzle, with all proceeds going to the three rescue groups at the event. These groups include Guardian Angel Animal Rescue, SA Dog Rescue, and Scruffer Lovers, and they’ll have stalls set up and will be bringing along some of their beautiful fosters dogs for cuddles and potentially a forever home.

If you have a Border Collie and want them to be a part of a fantastic event, tickets are $5 per dog, and available now! Gates will open to the general public and their dogs at 12pm for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds from the day being split between Guardian Angel Animal Rescue, SA Dog Rescue and Scruffer Lovers.

Where: Willaston Oval, 47 Gawler River Road, Willaston, SA 5118
When: Sunday 24th September
