Barossa Homestead Makes International Hot List

Kingsford HomesteadKingsford Homestead in the Barossa Valley has made the Condé Nast Traveler Hot List for 2013.

Condé Nast’s editors selected Kingsford Homestead as one of the World’s Best New Hotels and Spas of 2013 and one of only four Australian hotels on the list.

Kingsford Homestead was recognised by the editors as one of the 21 Best New Hotels with Great Food and is the only Australian hotel listed in this category.

And its signature Bush Bath was selected as one of the Best Perks, Extras & Amenities – an exclusive list of just 16 experiences that elevate Condé Nast’s new hotels “from likeable to lovable”.

The Condé Nast recognition follows hot on the heels of two international Fodor’s Top 100 awards for Kingsford Homestead.

Owners Stefan and Leanne Ahrens say having the world’s leading travel experts include Kingsford Homestead in their Hot Lists is a great thrill.

“We are really excited that Kingsford Homestead is making a name for itself in the luxury tourism market, not only in Australia but worldwide,” they say.

“In our first 12 months, hundreds of guests have chosen our all- inclusive, luxury accommodation, food and wine package for their weddings, special birthdays, anniversaries and romantic weekends.

“They have all enjoyed the fantastic food prepared by our in-house chef and many of them have been lucky enough to relax in our secluded, alfresco Bush Bath, so we are not surprised that these two features attracted the attention of Condé Nast’s editors.”

As well as recommending the food and the Bush Bath, Condé Nast acknowledged Kingsford Homestead’s personal service and selected the beautifully restored Stonemason’s Cottage as its preferred guest suite “for the roomy bathroom and pure privacy”.
