This year’s Barossa Seasons Spring program features 32 events, including some exciting new events and seven events on their Gourmet Trail. Barossa Gourmet Weekend forms part of Tourism Barossa’s new Barossa Seasons program which showcases seasonal wine and food events during winter, spring, summer, and autumn. It’s an all year round reason to celebrate some of the best things in life!

The three-day event (August 31 – 2 September) showcases authentic regional food of provenance sourced from local producers and accompanied by quality world-class wines. You’ve been invited to a weekend of intimate tastings, secret dining experiences, masterclasses, lingering long lunches, garden parties, platters and feasts of fresh produce. Yes, please!

All are welcomed, from foodies, drink enthusiasts, families and those simply wanting to discover our beautiful Barossa. A mixture of ticketed and free events are on offer, meaning this event is all inclusive and very much a unique adventure up to you to create and curate! Another option to take is the Gourmet Trail where you can explore the seven trail events scattered across the region. The $10 Gourmet Trail pass includes a souvenir glass and gives you access to all trail events.

Barossa Gourmet Weekend Creative Producer, Sam Wright, believes spring is the perfect time to spend a weekend indulging in everything the Barossa has to offer.

“Spring represents a season of renewal; a time when the landscape is a patchwork of colour; a time for meandering through our winery trails and exploring the Barossa’s finest fresh produce,” he said. “The calibre of events in this year’s Barossa Gourmet Weekend program really showcase the best of the Barossa. We’re thrilled to deliver some unique new events as part of this year’s program, and we also welcome back some of the old favourites.”

The event again lands itself on Father’s Day, which according to Sam is an absolute treat for anyone trying to work out how to spoil Dad. From breakfasts to long lunch feasts to masterclasses and workshops, there something on offer for all dads. Remeber the best way to the heart is through the stomach!

Spring will provide the perfect setting, where you can enjoy our Barossa and it’s amazing produce! You can start planning your Gourmet Weekend experience here!
