The gold medal winning chocolates entered were Honey and Macadamia, made with local Adelaide Hills Buzz Honey and caramelised Queensland Macadamias, Caramelised Coconut, made with luxurious milk chocolate, Cocoa Nib and Hazelnut made with in-house roasted hazelnuts, and a Cranberry and Pistachio block made with the very best of Australian pistachios.

The chocolate earning the highest overall score was their signature Apple Cider Praline, made with local Barossa Valley Apple Cider. All the chocolate blocks and praline entered averaged above a score of 95 points.

They also submitted a showpiece made entirely of chocolate that was inspired by their home, the iconic Barossa Valley, which won silver in the prestigious event.

The chocolates, which are available at Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, were judged on several criterion, including flavour and aroma, formulation, and craft/technique/innovation. The chocolates scored top results in each category, earning them the highest of accolades.

The chocolates will be on display in the Dairy Shed at the Royal Adelaide Show, from Friday 30 August to Sunday 8 September and are available to buy at the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company.
