South Australia’s Barossa Valley, known around the world for its winemaking excellence, is now venturing into new luxury territories with the launch of Truffèlle, a skincare brand powered by truffles. This innovative brand is setting a new standard in the anti-ageing skincare market by combining high-end indulgence with sophisticated biotechnological research.
Truffèlle was founded by entrepreneur Sabina Kelley, who discovered the potential of truffles as a powerhouse ingredient for skin health. Sabrina’s journey into skincare began with a chance encounter with research papers on the benefits of truffles for the skin. Dissatisfied with existing skincare solutions, she embarked on developing a line that leverages the robust properties of truffles.
“What started as a curious late-night deep-dive into the science behind truffles became an obsession,” said Sabrina. “I was frustrated by skincare that promised results but never delivered, and here I was, learning about this powerful natural ingredient that could truly transform women’s skin health.
“We were already hand-harvesting truffles for the dining tables of some of Australia’s best chefs. It made sense to explore their incredible properties beyond food. What we discovered through research was their remarkable potential for skin health, and that’s how Truffèlle was born.”
Truffèlle’s product range is centred on the pioneering bio-fermented truffle peptide cream, an innovation developed from hand-harvested truffles grown in Flaxman Valley’s unique 35-million-year-old meteor crater. This ingredient is combined with advanced actives like sodium hyaluronate and Australian superfruit antioxidants, enhancing the formula’s ability to improve hydration, elasticity, and diminish wrinkles.
With substantial investment funnelled into research and development, including innovative truffle extraction methods, Truffèlle prides itself on delivering scientifically validated results. Unlike many anti-ageing products that contain hormone-disrupting chemicals, Truffèlle emphasises purity and innovative techniques.
Sabrina says that the products are aimed at women aged 40 and above, and that truffles are really beneficial for skin health. “We’ve always known truffles were a delicacy in food, but science is now confirming their incredible value for skin health,” adds Kelley. “They’re one of nature’s most potent anti-ageing ingredients – rich in amino acids, antioxidants, and compounds that genuinely support skin repair.
“I was also passionate about creating a luxury, effective product that didn’t contain the hormone-disrupting chemicals found in so many high-end brands. Truffèlle was designed to prove that women can have visible results and peace of mind about what they’re putting on their skin.”
This combination of effectiveness with luxury and safety is reflected in Truffèlle’s launch products. The Cream and The Eye Cream retail at $327 for 50ml and $307 for 20ml. These products blend bio-fermented truffle with native botanicals like Sacha Inchi and Safflower, and potent ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid and Retinol. These meticulously crafted formulas hope to offer not just efficacy but a luxurious experience, evident in the richer, more radiant complexion and revitalised eye area that users can expect.
Truffèlle is available through their website and select stockists, providing accessible luxury and science-backed results to a global clientele.
