Be transported to broadway with the ASO this December

Broadway comes to South Australia courtesy of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra playing hits from all your favourite musical theatre productions and movies.

As if we needed another reason to love SA, here’s another to add to the list, with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra now taking us straight to Broadway!

The ASO will be performing A Night on Broadway, December 1st, at the Adelaide Showgrounds, with theatre buffs sure to be in their element, as musical stars regale audiences with all their favourite hits from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, West Side Story, Wicked, and for the kids and kids at heart… Frozen.

The songs will be sung by Amy Lepahmer who has played many a leading lady, starring in Dusty:The Musical, Beautiful: The Carole King Music and The Sound of Music. She’ll be joined by star of stage and screen Simon Gleeson, who starred in Eastenders and My Life in Ruins, as well as many West End musicals including Les Miserables, for which he won the Helpmann Award in 2015.

Under the direction of Maestro Guy Noble, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra will bring you all of the big orchestra feels as you sing along to all the best, most beautiful musical hits.

According to Guy, “Broadway music just wears its heart on its sleeve. It’s like taking a ride on Aladdin’s magic carpet through a world of high emotion. Most shows have very small orchestras made up of keyboards, but to hear the big songs with the full power of the Adelaide Symphony – that’s a whole new world”.

Ticket prices to this amazing demonstration of musicality start at $49, with kids from $19, so make sure to grab yours today before they sell out!
