Henley Beach has a new hotspot – Henley House.
Regular beachgoers might have noticed that Melt Henley, SeaSalt Society, and West are no longer. Well, it’s now all one big family under the Henley House name.
It’s where the laid-back beach vibe meets a fresh dining experience, and it’s opening its doors this week. With three levels of good times, it’s the kind of place where flip-flops are just as welcome as fancy footwear.
The menu? Think beach eats but better – seafood that’s just jumped out of the ocean, steaks and burgers with that smoky char, and small plates for sharing.
On Seaview Road level, the Henley House Dining Room & Bar features an all-day menu with sea views of Henley Beach. Escape the hustle and bustle of Henley Square in the outdoor lounge area, or take in the afternoon sun on the balcony. Enjoy the big game on one of the sports screens in the front bar area, or graze and gaze at sweeping sea views in the main dining space.
Upstairs, the Henley House Rooftop specialises in handcrafted cocktails and stunning views, all afternoon and into the night.
Behind the concept is renowned Adelaide restaurateur Simon Kardachi (whose other concepts include Fugazzi Bar & Dining Room, Shobosho, Osteria Oggi, Maybe Mae, Bread & Bone Wood Grill, Nido Bar | Pasta, and ShoSho), and the site will be led by Venue Manager Racquel Kulerski.
Kardachi is looking forward to ushering in a new era by the beach, with a hot summer and building the venue as a favourite all year round.
“We wanted to create a space that is simple and light. We want it to be a place for friends and family to escape; to graze over great snacks, drink excellent wine, and enjoy specialist cocktails.
“Henley House provides an experience that flows across the entire site, where customers aren’t limited to specific offerings in specific areas, and we are no longer so beholden to the weather. They can be enjoying excellent Champagne in the sunshine on the beachfront, or tucked up in a booth on the Rooftop watching the sun set – or they can do both across an afternoon and into the night”.
Henley House is ready to roll out the welcome mat for everything from a casual lunch to the biggest of bashes, even weddings. They’re big on making sure there’s something for everyone, with plenty of gluten-free, veggie, and vegan eats.
