Beats on Parade is heading to The Feathers Hotel on Saturday June 3rd for an epic party, with a line-up of hits from DJ Nigel, Goran G-Motion, Conspirosy and Sassy By Nature.
You’ll find the free event nestled amongst a warm and cozy venue with heaters, fireplaces, couches and booths under cover. Plus, once you get on the dance floor, things will heat up naturally.
Beats on Parade is the brainchild of two old school music lovers Spiros Giannos and Raffaele Russo.
Both grew up in the days of iconic Adelaide clubs like Heaven, Planet, Cargo Club, Q Bar and Synagogue which dominated club culture. They saw a gap in the market for people who used to love going to the above-mentioned clubs, who now have families and adult commitments and don’t get that opportunity to go out frequently like they used to.
“I love hosting these events because it takes me back to when I was younger going to clubs and DJing. After becoming a parent I stopped DJing, my focus was on my children. We host these events for people who don’t get to go out much any more because of family and adult commitments, so we want to make these accessible for them and make it more of a special occasion going out,” Spiros Giannos says.
It’s something they put in their calendar and look forward to.”
Beats on Parade was born to fill that gap and give the community a sense of nostalgia from the dance tracks and culture of the old school days, mixed with new dance music handpicked for each event.
They want to share the music they love with people in their 30’s 40’s and 50’s and also the younger generation who have a love for the old school music dance scene.
They started with two successful events at The Bath Hotel, and are now taking their beats on a parade of venues around Adelaide with the next one set to bring the house down at The Feathers Hotel.
With the feels of a tight-nit family, each DJ will bring their own personality and style.
DJ Nigel will warm up the dance floor with 70’s/80’s disco classics, Goran with deep house, G-Motion and Conspirosy reminiscing with old and new school house, Sassy By Nature injecting high energy house vibes and Rob Loro jamming on percussion to ensure you dance to the beat of the drum.
Spiros and Raff have their sights set on other popular pubs/bars venues around Adelaide with the goal of bringing that old school nostalgic dance culture back for everyone to reminisce, have a boogie, enjoy, meet new people and have an awesome time.
