Bec Hardy Wines’ Summer Twilight Sessions kick off this month

Bec Hardy Wines in McLaren Vale is throwing Summer Twilight Sessions over the next three months with wine, live music, delectable food.

If there’s one thing we love about summer, it’s basking in the golden glow of cellar doors eating delicious food and drinking wine. And this month, Bec Hardy Wines in McLaren Vale is kicking off its Summer Twilight Sessions so we can do just that – enjoy wine, live music, delectable food, and a whole lot of fun and games.

Starting on Thursday December 28th and continuing through February 10th next year, these sessions are designed to create unforgettable moments with your loved ones.

“We aim for our Summer Twilight Sessions to be a fun day out with loved ones. It’s a festive time of year, so it’s a great time to get together with family and friends. It’s a laid-back afternoon session to kick back in McLaren Vale, particularly in summer when the weather is just beautiful,” Eliza Naulty, a representative from Bec Hardy Wines, shared with Glam Adelaide.

One of the highlights of these sessions is the live music lineup, including Juliet Oliver with an acoustic set, Jason In:Key with a DJ set, and also Sophie Ford with some stunning live music.

The Bec Hardy Wines’ cellar door itself is an idyllic setting for evening events. Set amidst twinkling fairy lights, both on the decking and the lawn area, it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. “It’s almost like a porch session with great summer vibes,” Eliza added.

Guests can expect a relaxed ambiance, with plenty of seating outdoors. The casual setting encourages lounging, mingling, and making the most of the balmy summer nights.

When it comes to the menu, Eliza is eager for visitors to enjoy some culinary delights created by Head Chef Connor Bishop who has an immaculate reputation across the region working in several esteemed restaurants.

“The dumplings are a standout cellar door favourite, so I’m sure they will be popular at our Summer Twilight Sessions. We’ve also got delicious sliders; our Head Chef has nailed the summer food vibe,” Eliza says.

“Plus, there will be Alessandro’s Gelato [with a choice of strawberry, vanilla or chocolate] produced from a local man in Willunga which is a great family-favourite to top off the night.”

Bec Hardy, the driving force behind Bec Hardy Wines, hails from a long line of Australian winemakers.

Her family’s history in McLaren Vale dates back to 1850 when her great-great-great grandfather, Thomas Hardy, arrived from the UK. In 2020, Bec took over the Pertaringa brand, continuing the legacy of her father, Geoff, who ventured into the wine world in 1980.

Today, Bec Hardy Wines represents the next generation of South Australian winemaking heritage and hosts events like the Summer Twilight Sessions for families to experience what the cellar door has to offer.
