Beer and Bite Festival makes a grand return to Gumeracha

For the first time in four years, the Beer and Bite festival is returning to the Adelaide Hills to celebrate all things local. Clean your pint glasses and assemble your nicest cutlery, because the Beer and Bite festival 2024 is going to be one to remember.

With the inaugural festival in 2017 being a hit, the event quickly became a local favourite on the calendar. Beer and Bite ran for three consecutive years as an amalgamation of quality and hearty food mixed with hoppy and fruity goodness from local breweries.

The event has always had a focus on celebrating all things local. Whether it is breweries, distillers, wineries, food vendors or music, the festival brings together the awesome creations being done by artisans in the area.

Unfortunately for the festival enjoying public, the Beer and Bite festival was negatively impacted by COVID-19, like many of us and other festivals of its kind.

“With this in mind we were not confident that we could run a safe event that would not be a financial risk to the continuation of the hall committee, plus the risk to our older volunteers and older and immunocompromised community members we did not proceed with the event for 2021,” says Beer and Bite on Facebook.

After a four-year hiatus, the festival has returned in full force. The return of the Beer and Bite Festival is the perfect opportunity to escape the city and make the trip up to the hills.

“It’s been a long time coming, but the Beer and Bite Festival will be making a comeback after having some down time. We absolutely love Gumeracha and it’s great to be able to head back and visit Adelaide Hills,” says Beer and Bite on Facebook.

Nestled in the North of the Adelaide Hills, Gumeracha is home to picturesque vineyards, rolling farmlands, olive groves and orchards. The Adelaide Hills is synonymous with having some of South Australia’s best home-grown produce, craft breweries producing crisp lagers and ciders, smooth chocolate stouts, organic and smoked beer, traditional ales and innovative new brews.

Keep an eye on their Facebook so you can schedule it into your calendar as soon as you possibly can. This is a must-attend event for anyone who loves a beer and a bite!

“The festival will need some time to take stock, start planning and look at the calendar. But once done, we plan to be back with a bang,” says Beer and Bite on Facebook.
