Beer and BBQ Festival announced today that, due to the South Australian State Lockdown, its event slated for this weekend will no longer be going ahead and instead will be rescheduled for September 24 – 26.

“The entire Beer & BBQ team have been working for the past five months to put as many contingencies as possible in place to ensure that we could still bring you our beloved festival that we all know and love this July. But the lockdown announced today leaves us with no choice other than to postpone this weekend’s event,” said Festival Director, Gareth Lewis.

“We’re determined to make this event happen, honouring the entire reason we throw this event in the first place: to showcase the best beer, BBQ, art, musicians and local producers that this beautiful country of ours has to offer.”

“Once we have more information about the rescheduled event, we’ll communicate this via email, social media, and our website. At that time, if current ticketholders cannot make the new dates, we will offer refunds.”

“In the interim we are asking South Australians to help support our suppliers and vendors during this time by either purchasing their products online, ordering takeaway or delivery from their venues, by buying their music and merch online.”

“In light of the statewide lockdown and the implications that these have put on small businesses across the state, we will be heavily lobbying the Government, both State and Federal, to provide immediate financial support for events, venues and their staff and contractors who have been forced to cancel, close or postpone with little warning and no safety net.”

“Thank you to everyone who bought tickets. We throw this festival for you, and we can’t wait to crack a few cold ones with you this September.”
