Beerenberg launches new kitchen, winter menu and delicious bookable experiences

With new product tastings, cooking masterclasses, and more, there are plenty of experiences ripe for the picking at Beerenberg.

Strawberry season doesn’t kick back into gear until November, and while nothing beats coming home with a basket overflowing with brilliant scarlet berries, a visit to Beerenberg during the cooler months is still scrumptious.

Stroll into the farm café, rug up next to the large log fireplace, and roll home with a full belly and a basket filled to the brim with Beerenberg goodness. With new product tastings, cooking masterclasses, and more, there are plenty of experiences ripe for the picking at Beerenberg.

Beerenberg has launched its first Farm Cafe winter menu – a delectable collection of winter warmers, including gourmet toasties, house-made pies, kartoffelpuffers (German potato rosti balls), and a one-pot Mexican cassoulet with baked cornbread.

The Southern Beef Brisket Cornish Pasty, a new addition, is already a winter favourite, paired with your choice of Beerenberg tomato, barbeque ale or chipotle ranch sauce.

To complement the Farm Café’s new winter dishes – all of which feature locally-sourced produce and Beerenberg’s own homemade relishes, jams, and sauces – the onsite ice creamery ‘The Dairy’ also has a new selection of sweet treats.

For example, the eye-popping Cherry Coco Delight signature shake. Creamy cherry coconut milk ice cream, dressed with cherry ripe bites topped with a house made Beerenberg Strawberry Jam, lamington, whipped cream and cherries.

And a country favourite… House made sticky date pudding (made with Beerenberg Fig and Pomegranate preserve) with French vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce.

Brewing alongside Beerenberg’s brand new winter menu has been a new in-house experience – Grant’s Kitchen. Grant’s Kitchen will soon be home to regular cooking masterclasses and demonstrations.

In intimate-sized classes, participants will be able to enjoy a glass of local prosecco and a house-made appetiser as they are guided through multi-course meals with matching wines.

Guests will leave with a full tummy, cooking tips and tricks, as well as answers to many nagging cooking questions.

The first Beerenberg cooking masterclass launched this month, selling out in a few days. The next set of cooking classes and demonstrations will be announced in time for the ‘Hahndorf. Handmade. Handcrafted. Handpicked.’ Festival for the month of September.
