Situated on Port Lincoln’s picturesque foreshore, boutique Oyster bar and Seafood Restaurant, Fumo 28, have unveiled their new luxury private lounge and restaurant expansion.
Known for their creative Oyster offerings and expansive seafood menu, the sexy newly space allows for more customers and an inclusive dining experience.
With black leather couches and chairs on offer, guests will truly be dining in style as they soak up the picture perfect foreshore just a stones throw away.
The addition of the luxury lounge, now means Fumo 28 has a private space guests can hire for events. The owner, Akash Thakural, hopes that it will bring in bigger groups, hen-dos, VIP events, parties and more. The restaurant now fits up to 90 people, so it is ideal to hire for a function.
“We have taken over the shop next door and removed the wall in the middle. We’ve changed the furniture and added a luxury private lounge, there’s nothing else like it in Port Lincoln,” Akash says.
When guests hire the venue, Akash assures that the team can handle everything from decorations to canapes, to platters and wine. “All you have to do is pay and show up,” he adds.
With the new expansion, Fumo has now pivoted towards luxury fine dining. They are open daily, so locals and tourists alike can also come in and enjoy the food.
Akash opened Fumo 28 in 2019 after working in the seafood industry for over a decade, with the goal allowing those that come from far and wide to explore the seafood eatery while trying new recipes.
Port Lincoln is known for its phenomenal quality and selection of seafood, this is highlighted on Fumo 28’s menu.
They have heaps of unique oyster flavours, both served raw and cooked. Bloody Mary Butter, Champers and Caviar, and Chilli Lime Gin, just to name a few. Of course, there’s a stacked menu of seafood options including pastas and curries, paired with a few veggie and meat dishes as well.
Akash recommends the fresh tuna and octopus, “there’s nothing else like it in Port Lincoln.”
