Popular Adelaide Hills brewery, Union Bridge, is taking on the CBD as the former Benjamin on Franklin transforms as a part of the Union Bridge brand.

Union Bridge landed on the scene in 2020 when they opened their Cellar Door and Distillery in the historic Cudlee Creek cold stores, but they began handcrafting their extensive range of beverages long before.

Five years earlier, in 2015, they started creating premium gins, vodkas, sparklings, traditional beers, homemade soft drinks and more, which have since helped make their Cudlee Creek home base wildly popular.

Plus, through the use of time-honoured techniques and locally sourced botanicals, Union Bridge managed to capture the hearts of the local community, quickly becoming a must-visit destination in the Adelaide Hills.

Now, as the brewery welcomes the newly branded Union Bridge on Franklin into its lineup, city dwellers will have access to all of the creative concoctions being made, right on their doorstep.

The reimagined venue now proudly bears the Union Bridge name, embracing the rich heritage of the stunning historic establishment. This is blended with the modern flair we’ve come to know from the Union Bridge Brand, to create unique, fun and modern experiences.

Originally known as the Sir John Franklin Inn, the historic building that now homes Union Bridge was built in 1856, and has continued to operate as a pub since its construction.

These days, Union Bridge on Franklin could be thought of as the younger, sassier sister to the Cudlee Creek venue, united by a shared passion for exceptional hospitality.

Union Bridge has a massive lineup of drinks from limoncello and gin, to stouts and ales. Their alcoholic sodas are always a crowd-pleaser, and their throwback flavours leave you wanting more. Whether it’s a classic lemonade and ginger ale, or something a bit different like a pine lime, creaming soda, cherry cola or sarsparilla, there’s something for everyone!

Both Union Bridge locations will continue to be the perfect place to sit back with friends and family and enjoy a delicious meal perfectly paired with a drink or two.
