BWH Hotels Australasia is broadening its reach in South Australia, unveiling a new Best Western property in the picturesque town of Port Lincoln. The announcement marks the introduction of the Best Western brand to a destination celebrated for its breathtaking coastal views and rich marine life.
Rod Munro, Managing Director of BWH Hotels Australasia, shared his optimism about the new venture. “We are excited to continue our expansion in South Australia with the addition of Best Western Port Lincoln,” he said. Munro continued, “This property represents our commitment to bringing the trusted and global reputation of Best Western to key leisure destinations. Port Lincoln’s unique blend of natural beauty and local culture makes it the ideal location for our iconic brand.”
The new Best Western Port Lincoln, transitioning from its former identity as the Hilton Beachfront Motel, sits at a prime waterfront location. This rebranded site promises to deliver exceptional accommodation with its 45 newly refurbished rooms. Among these, the deluxe waterfront suites offer panoramic views of Boston Bay, setting the scene for a memorable stay. Guests will benefit from direct beach access, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and ample free parking, ensuring a comfortable and convenient experience.

In addition to leisure travellers, the property is well-equipped to cater to business events with its dedicated conference room. This feature aims to attract corporate groups looking for a picturesque retreat for meetings and conferences. The facility is located near local attractions and activities that Port Lincoln has to offer, from vibrant eateries to exciting wildlife tours, which include shark cage diving and coastal explorations.
This latest addition follows closely on the heels of the launch of Best Western Adelaide Airport, marking the second Best Western property to be inaugurated in South Australia within a year. The successful establishment of the Adelaide site has paved the way for further expansions by BWH Hotels.
Andrew Chapman, Director of Across Australia Parks and Resorts Pty Ltd. (AAPR), played a significant role in both projects. He cited the success of the Adelaide Airport location as a motivating factor for continuing the collaboration with BWH Hotels. “The incredible success of Best Western Adelaide Airport encouraged us to partner with BWH Hotels once again,” Chapman noted.
“Their focus on success and the strength of the Best Western brand makes this an exciting opportunity for us to bring high-quality accommodation to Port Lincoln, a standout leisure destination.”
The scheduled opening of Best Western Port Lincoln is set for the first quarter of 2025. This launch is part of a broader strategy by BWH Hotels to expand its portfolio, which includes recent additions like the City Oasis Inn, SureStay Collection by Best Western, and SureStay by Best Western New Inn Richmond.
