Beyond India, in Modbury North, has backed up its name, going above and beyond to be announced as the state’s most popular restaurant in Menulog’s bi-annual Restaurant Awards series.
Beyond India has taken out the title based on its outstanding order numbers and overall customer satisfaction.
The local eatery is loved by locals for its authentic Indian food as well as the restaurant atmosphere and buzz. Beyond India also offers customers a combo deal with the local cinema so customers can enjoy dinner and a movie without stress.
Co-owner of Beyond India, Benita Paukkunen said, “Our team works extremely hard everyday to deliver delicious Indian food to our customers. We are so honoured that our hard work has paid off and we are recognised as the most popular South Australian restaurant on Menulog. Menulog’s Restaurant Awards program recognises an overall national winner, as well as state winners. This season, The Rollin Dough in Victoria, took out the national award, with other state winners including:
· VIC – Yarraville based Pizzeria, Pizza Del Sole, known for delectable Italian favourites such as gourmet pizzas, risotto and pasta
· NSW – Newtown’s Kammadhenu, a local eatery specialising in South Indian, Sri Lankan and Malay curries
· ACT – Dawat-e-Punjab, renowned for serving up flavoursome Halal and Indian cuisine, with crowd-pleasers like Butter Chicken and Chana Masala
· TAS – Local Sandy Bay eatery, La Bella Pizza, particularly popular for their BBQ special with slathers of bacon
· QLD – Hervey Bay restaurant, Hogs Breath Cafe, delivering the food chain’s iconic steakhouse flavours
· NT – Local Casuarina restaurant, Thai Thai, are loved by locals for their garlic and ginger rice, curry puffs and fish cakes
· WA – Perfect Pizza, Halls Head, famous for their Almond Chicken, Magic Mushroom and Feta Vegetarian pizzas
The Menulog Restaurant Awards will kick off again next year, with the next season’s recipients to be announced in Summer 2019.
