Iconic South Australian brand, Bickford & Sons, has launched a new, interesting tonic water to spice up your classic G&T this season.
The recently released tonic water is made with natural, high quality ingredients: carbonated water, quinine and sugar or natural sweetener. Nothing artificial, and everything to raise your spirits.
Quinine is made from the bark of the cinchona tree (pronounced ‘sin-ko-na’), which gives the water its classic bitter tonic taste. It’s these natural ingredients that make the tonic light up under UV light, making your glass cocktail glow in the dark.
Many tonic waters use synthetic quinine, lacking the delicious zing and traditional flavour you get from a high-quality tonic.
Quinine absorbs the ultraviolet light from UV torches and releases it, making the tonic glow a stunning blue colour. It’s a great way to see the quality of your tonic – only genuine tonic will glow – so turn the lights off and put the new Bickfords & Sons tonic water to the test.
Bickford & Sons tonics are available in dry, sugar-free, and limited edition sugar-free citrus.
They’re available in all SA independent stores and through Sippify.
Bickfords is also inviting G&T lovers to try out the new tonic water, capture your glowing concoction, and tag @bickfordandsons on Instagram.
The iconic South Australian brand also has plenty other high quality non-alcoholic drink options, including its vegan iced coffee syrup range, its lusciously crisp Bitter Lemon, and aromatic Ginger Ale.
