Big Shots coffee van launches at newly opened Happy Valley Reservoir

Big Shots have launched their very own coffee van at the Happy Valley Reservoir greeting all who bike, run or kayak by just in time for school holidays.

Big things are happening at Happy Valley Reservoir. After opening to the public just last week, visitors can now enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and a delicious bite to eat with the addition of a coffee van as they immerse themselves in the endless outdoor activities on offer.

Big Shots have launched their very own coffee van at the reservoir greeting all who bike, run or kayak by just in time for school holidays.

The new coffee van is located right in the heart of the action, with the BBQ area and toilets nearby.

It will be permanently parked at the reservoir serving up a full coffee menu including iced latte, iced coffee, iced chocolate and mocha, along with milk alternatives including full cream, skim, almond, soy, oat and lactose free.

There are yummy milkshakes for the little ones and refreshing smoothies on offer with a variety of options to choose from.

The Big Shots coffee van will have a selection of grab and go food with chocolate brownies, fig nut and grain bars and muffins to enjoy.

Big Shots owner Josh Anderson said this menu is what they are going with to kick things off and will change to suit customers.

“We will look to expand our food offerings as we see how many people like to use the area and get feedback on what they’d like us to provide,” Josh said.

“We are hoping that not just people using the walking and riding trails, kayaking facilities and fishing visit us, but with such a very accessible huge car park so close by, we hope locals and people driving through the area will drop in just for our coffee.”

The new Happy Valley Reservoir has just opened for the first time in 120 years. It welcomes visitors to enjoy a range of land and water-based recreational activities such as kayaking, fishing, cycling, hiking and picnicking.

It features a 20-kilometre trail network for walking, running and bike riding, 110 hectares of water for kayaking and fishing, as well as new amenities such as two kayak launch areas, on-site car parking, barbecues, picnic shelters, a boardwalk jetty and lookout offering stunning views over the water.

Big Shots coffee van is there to fuel people on their adventures.

Their café takes home in Brighton and is known for its delicious food that’s big on flavour. The café is literally a stone’s throw from some of the best shores in SA, and now their coffee van is an easy stroll from the pristine lake at Happy Valley Reservoir.

The Big Shots coffee van is located in the southern entrance at the roundabout at the intersection of Kenihans and Chandlers Hill road, Happy Valley.
