Talented Australian musician, Sarah McLeod returns to Adelaide for an exclusive and intimate concert held in the Bird in Hand winery barrel room on Friday 15th April 2011.
Sarah began her career as the lead singer of one of Australia’s iconic bands, The Superjesus; where she was recognized as Australia’s favourite rock chick. Since then the multi-platinum album selling artist has achieved three ARIA awards and over 300,000 records sales to her name.
“I often go back to Adelaide but this is my first hometown performance for years. I’m really excited to be going back and playing an acoustic show that will take the audience on a trip through my musical career.” Says Sarah.
Sarah will be performing songs from her Superjesus day’s right through to her first solo album; the audience will also be lucky enough to have a sneak preview of her upcoming record in a stripped back acoustic fashion.
The concert represents Bird in Hand’s constant commitment to the arts through their newly launched Stars in Hand events business. Their vision is to offer unique, high quality entertainment experiences for a wide audience, in genres ranging form classical to jazz, pop, rock and R&B.
“I’m super thrilled to get the chance to perform at Bird in Hand amongst such beautiful surroundings – it’ll be my first ever ‘barrel room’ performance!” Says Sarah.
The special event includes a two-course meal with Bird in Hand wines, amongst rows of French barriques and museum collection wines.
Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets community organization will benefit from Bird in Hand fundraising efforts on the night.
