Bird in Hand’s exclusive cellar door is now open to members

After closing for massive renovations, Bird in Hand’s new cellar door is now accessible to Flight Club members while staying at Adelaide Hills’ winery.

Bird in Hand’s new private cellar door is open and full of prestige.

The new cellar door is only accessible to Flight Club members who stay at the winery. These special guests will be able to enjoy the luxury experience while staying at Adelaide Hills’ winery Bird in Hand.

The cellar door is open after closing for Bird In Hand’s massive renovations. It’s been a 2-3 year process, but looks like it’s been worth the wait.

The timber roof stretches across the expansive space bringing warmth to the cool tones and textures of the interior. With a long dining table and possibly the most comfortable looking couches we’ve seen, the cellar door space welcomes guests into a cosy yet classy space.

The cellar door and restaurant have been closed for construction as the conic Adelaide Hills winery Bird in Hand has been undergoing major renovations. It’s on the way to becoming a hub for elite wine, produce, art and culture, thanks to a multi-million dollar redevelopment.

With plans to raise the stakes as an international tourism destination, the winery has closed its public spaces as in preparation to further showcase the best of SA wine and produce.

Plans for the winery’s layout included a new 40 seat wine and culinary experience, an art gallery, increased cellar door space, underground cellars, tasting rooms and landscaped gardens and vineyards, complete with state-of-the-art sustainable practices.

Bird in Hand Founder, Andrew Nugent said to our Glam Adelaide team last year that he hopes for these changes to help grow South Australia’s visitor economy, and shine a light on the state’s emerging talents in the wine, food and art industries.

Nugent said the renovation “will create up to 50 sustainable, long-term jobs for the local community and will cater for up to 400 additional visitors to the region every day.”

The masterplan development is being undertaken by many leading South Australian firms – architects, designers and gallerists, including Gillett Grieve Anderson, Enoki, Hugo Michel and Kingsbrook.

Bird in Hand’s restaurant remains closed for construction, with the online store remaining fully up and running.
