Ever wanted to blend and bottle your very own wine? Now’s your chance to.
On May 6 from 11am to 5pm, Beach Road Wines are hosting a Wine Blending and Bottling Masterclass as part of the 2022 Tasting Australia program.
Participants will enjoy a day out at Beach Road Wines in McLaren Vale, taking part in a wine tasting with winemaker, Briony Hoare.
This will be followed by a blending masterclass where the group will come up with their own unique wine blend, then bottle and label a dozen bottles each to take home with them.
The package also includes a lunch in Beach Road Wines restaurant of starter platters and their famous wood oven pizzas to be enjoyed whilst overlooking the stunning views.
This event will be the perfect day out for wine-lovers to learn more about the wine making and blending process, including how to balance acidity, sweetness and tannins.
Briony said he is looking forward to teaching his wine blending knowledge as a part of the Masterclass.
“I’m so excited to share my passion for winemaking with the wine lovers of Adelaide through this Tasting Australia session,” he said.
“My hope is that participants will be proud to show off their bespoke wine blend with their friends and family when they take home a dozen bottles of their unique creation.”
Beach Road Wines was started in 2006 by husband and wife duo, Briony and Tony Hoare following successful respective careers in the wine industry.
Briony has become known for her alternative Italian varieties, including Fiano, Greco, Aglianico and Nero D’Avola. The cellar door and restaurant is on Seaview Road in McLaren Vale & boasts stunning views over the vines and hills.
