Fashionistas around Australia love Fashions on The Field. Not only is it an opportunity to put together amazing outfits, whether they be retro, high fashion or classic, but it’s a great way to win kick arse prizes. Some girls have even made a profession of this, travelling around to different race day events in the hope of taking out the title. Thoroughbred Racing SA have harnessed that action, organising Fashion at the Races which has seen a string of South Australian fashion competitions at both Adelaide and rural race day meets.

Saturday was the culmination of this series of events, with all 16 Fashion at The Races finalists battling it out in an afternoon of heart-pumping racing, flowing champagne, a stylish luncheon and of course – fabulous fashion and millinery.

I however, wasn’t in the running for the amazing grand prize to Paris. I was there purely as a guest of Thoroughbred Racing SA, and was able to enjoy the day as a spectator.

I wore a Liza Emanuele leopard print jacket and Liza Emanuele raw silk skirt with Nine West heels and a old tried & true hat from years ago.

Some of the styling from the event. Very cute. They also had my favourite flowers! They last so long at home. I love them!

Oliva Nunn wearing an Adorn Collection millinery piece, with Melissa Barnes, also wearing an Adorn Collection millinery piece. Melissa was also the Strathalbyn finalist for Fashion at the Races.

I loved this necklace from Bau Haus worn by Claire Curry. Such a bold statement which really worked well with her outfit.

Here is Claire’s look for the day. I loved seeing something a bit different!

We were treated to amazing cupcakes from My Kitchen Rules gal Jenna, who now runs Le Pink Petite Patisserie. Yum!

Congratulations to Jayde Foote (left) who represented Murray Bridge and took out the top prize for the Fashion at The Races state prize and Claudia Rogosich who was a narrow runner up.

Jayde is off to Paris flying business class and Claudia has $5000 worth of vouchers to spend on King William Road. Lucky girls!
