Bloom is bringing together the best of the block and showcasing local makers, producers and musicians for all to enjoy at its café and garden in Thebarton.

The Bloom Block Party will take over Winwood Street and surrounds with a full program of Makers and Producers markets, food trucks, laneway bars and two live music stages to keep you entertained all afternoon.

“We’ve been waiting six months to be able to throw an event of this scale again. One which brings together our whole community of locals, businesses and customers of Bloom,” said Bloom co-owner Jack Nelligan.

The event is being supported by the City of West Torrens as part of their “Westival” event series across various parks and venues in the west.

“With Council’s support, we have been able to extend our popular seasonal markets out onto Winwood Street, making this a true Block Party with more live music and more producers and artisans involved than ever before,” said Jack.

Attendees will be able to sip on some local brews from Bowden Brewing and Imperial Measures Distilling (of Ounce Gin fame) and savour the flavours with pizzas from Anchovy Bandit, chargrilled treats by Bloom or vegan toasties and pastries by Lator Gator. Top it off with a grazing board by Lockwood General or a sweet treat from Sassi Ice cream.

A new, uniquely curated Makers and Producers market will also feature at this event. This market will feature some local favourites from the westside, as well as new artisans and producers from across SA.

You’ll be able to stock your pantry full with locally made produce from Nice Pickles, Moss Brew kombucha and cold brew, Westside Mushies, Continental Tarallis, Pepita Organic nut butters, Wattle & Wheat sourdough, Gordi Babka, Basque by Leo burnt cheesecake.

You can also pick up a special gift or treat for yourself from artisans Homethrown by Jen, Sunsets and Eve, Craft Make Do, Pineapple Vintage or See Someone Studio.

A huge program of some of SA’s finest musicians will also be out in force with chilled tunes from Siberian Tiger and Atlantic Street Band and party vibes by the Busseys, Malibu Drive & Uke Death Squad.
