Boobie Bingo To Raise Funds For a Good Cause

Australian Breast Cancer Research, in conjunction with The Hospital Research Foundation, is holding a fundraising event on Friday 17 June at Crowne Plaza Adelaide to raise money for breast cancer research and to improve the care of patients undergoing treatment.

The Australian Breast Cancer Research Boobie Bingo will present a fun-filled night of bingo, including fantastic door prizes, raffle draws and the crowning of the Bingo Queen, all in the name of a good cause.

The Hospital Research Foundation Chief Executive Officer Paul Flynn said “All of the funds raised from this inaugural event will go to two beneficiaries: the Michell McGrath Breast Cancer Fellowship, which attracts the best and brightest in the field of breast cancer research in an effort to find a cure and increase care for this disease, with another ground breaking breast cancer research initiative to be announced on the night.”

“With over 13,000 women and 105 men being diagnosed with breast cancer every year, chances are everyone has been personally affected by breast cancer in some way.”

“ABCR proudly supports world-class medical research into breast cancer, which is conducted here in South Australia at the Basil Hetzel Institute. ABCR is able to build its research capacity and scope through the fellowship, allowing expansions in both clinical and laboratory based research projects.”

“Research conducted at the Basil Hetzel Institute has the potential to develop exciting new detection methods and improve the treatment of those affected by breast cancer.”
