Schitt’s Creek became a phenomenon. During its run from 2015-2020, it won many Emmy Awards (receiving nine in its final year, making it the most awarded comedy series in a single year) and became the must-see TV show for millions of people around the world. The incredibly well-loved and quirky characters created by Daniel Levy and his father Eugene Levy are on full display in this beautifully produced and very hefty tome. The front cover displays the family outside the Rosebud Hotel, where they played out the six years of their lives after they lost their family fortune. Best Wishes, Warmest Regards is a perfect coffee table book and will give immense joy to every single Schitt’s Creek fan. And to those who are yet to enjoy the world of Schitt’s Creek, it may just make you want to sit through the six seasons of laughter and tears.

Best Wishes, Warmest Regards celebrates the series, the town and especially the characters we have learned to love: most notably Johnny, Moira, David and Alexis Rose. Those who watched the series will remember how we mourned as the last episode aired. This book is a fitting tribute to the six seasons of unadulterated joy.

Included in the book are introductions by each character. We then go through every episode of the six seasons, reminding us of the storyline and what happened behind the scenes. Through this, we are able to relive each and every moment. Interspersed throughout the book are special features such as David’s jumpers and Moira’s outrageous outfits and wigs. There is also some spectacular fan art, parts of scripts, memorable moments (I’m into the wine, not the label) and Moira’s very interesting vocabulary.

Those who played these iconic roles tell us about their favourite moments, the laughs they had along the way, and how they became a close knit “family”.  We are privy to how decisions were made: from the highly amusing town sign (Welcome to Schitt’s Creek: Where Everyone Fits In) to the often bizarre wardrobe choices. Incredibly, there is also a double page of American number plates with “EW David” on them.

Best Wishes, Warmest Regards celebrates everything good about Schitt’s Creek and gives a wonderful sense of nostalgia to one of the best comedy series ever to be shown on television. This book is a must have to be treasured by each and every fan.
