Vegans, rejoice!
Bowden’s favourite hospitality hub, Plant 4, is staying true to their plant-based title and throwing a vegan extravaganza.
On 17 July from 5pm-9pm, Plant 4 is hosting “Plant-based at Plant 4” with booze, vegan eats, and gift stalls. Free to enter, the ticketless event will have Adelaide distilleries serving up cocktails, plant-based eateries slinging food, an array of local craft beer and wine, and retail vendors selling adorable items.
Plant 4 has multiple regular plant-based eateries on the premises––such as Ping An Veggie Time, a Thai eatery focusing mostly on healthy, takeaway options, and Cakeboy Donuts, a hand-rolled vegan donut shop––that will be open that night, but other spots will be changing their offerings specifically for the night. Outside vendor Milkless Cheese from Lonsdale will also set up shop for the plant-based party.
“Most of our eateries will be there, with the majority that aren’t vegan changing to be vegan for that night,” Plant 4 co-owner Jonathon Kaitatzis says.
The usual retail shops, such as Tea Towel Co and more, will also be there on Saturday the 17 to sell vegan-friendly materials and vegan skin care products. The bar will sell solely plant-based and natural wines and drinks.
There will also be a DJ spinning tracks throughout the night, so you can boogie while you enjoy the vegan offerings.
Kaitatzis is looking forward to the event and thinks Plant 4 is the perfect venue to host it.
“I think all of our values are very conscious naturally anyway, with a lot of our eateries being plant-based friendly anyway,” he says.
“It will be nice to bring the vegan community together and give them a space to come together and enjoy delicious food and wine in one cosy space.”
