Bottega and Never Never Distillery collab that will blow your mind

Bottega Gelateria and Never Never Distillery have joined forces a unique collaboration just in time for the Glenelg Festival this weekend!

The Never Never Gin Fizz is a smooth and luxurious sorbet made using Never Never’s award winning Triple Juniper Gin, fresh local lemons, sugar and Italian sparkling mineral water. Lashing of fresh citrus is then zested over the top to add to the bright and airy texture of the sorbet.

Never Never Brand Director Sean Baxter wanted to create a sorbet that was built using the classic Gin Fizz as a reference point.

Traditionally, it combines gin, freshly pressed lemon juice, sugar and sparkling water to create a sensational classic aperitif which is shaken vigorously and poured over ice.

“This sorbet combines all the best flavours of your favourite cocktail with the fresh zest of local lemons.

“We wanted a sorbet that reminded people of how gin should be consumed in the hot summer months.

The sorbet was created by gelato master Adriano Macri, the owner of Bottega Gelateria. His focus on flavour and his philosophy of working with local producers to source the freshest and most exciting ingredients led him to collaborate with the local distillery.

“At Bottega Gelateria we have always sought to capture more flavour in everything that we make.

“Never Never share the same philosophy, using local ingredients to great effect.

All of Bottega’s Gelati are made from scratch using a combination of traditional technique and state of the art equipment designed to build silky smooth textures and dense, luxurious flavour.

“What we sacrifice in quantity, we make up for in quality, it’s an artisanal way of making gelati, and we wouldn’t want it any other way,” says Adriano.

Bottega Gelateria have the special collaboration available at their Glenelg and Henley Beach stores from today to kick off the Equinox Glenelg Festival.

It will be available until the small batch flavour has run out.

As with all Bottega Gelateria specials, they are only available in small volumes. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
