The Prospect delicatessen and cafe has expanded with Vino Bandito, a wine and snack bar exclusive to Friday and Saturday nights.
Taking it back to their Euro roots, they’ll combine local natural wines with a simple collection of bar snacks including salumi, oysters, anchovies and house-made pickles on a rotating menu.
While you kick back with a pre-dinner or knock-off drink, the lights will be dimmed and the mellow tunes will kick in.
Some of their locally sourced wines include varieties from BK Wines, Ngeringa and Alkina Wines, with their winemaker mates dropping in fortnightly to help pour a drop.
Tonight, it’ll be Jono from Clare Valley’s Koerner Wines that joins the team to assist in slinging the vinos, and showcase their various wine styles, whilst Kamleh gets his finger on the decks.
Featured in the heart of Prospect, Botegga Bandito is the sister venue of popular Pizzeria Anchovy Bandit, both priding themselves in tradition, but not necessarily be bound by it.
Over the last year, Botegga Bandito has been providing locals with an in-house menu of fresh-baked bread, pastries, small goods and sauces for purchase, as well as brewing fresh local coffee each morning.
Now with their new Friday and Saturday night venture, Vino Bandito, they’ll hope to see people coming in to enjoy a kick-off drink and nibble, whilst chilling out to some soulful tunes.
You can find Botegga Bandito at 98 Prospect Rd, Prospect.
