Boutique cellar door and bar reopens in Aldinga

Sourc’d Wine Collective & Bar were forced to close in March due to COVID, but have recently reopened and are taking a slightly new direction.

Sourc’d Wine Collective & Bar has had it rough over covid, but have come out the other end a little stronger.

After opening in 2018, the Aldinga Beach boutique cellar door and bar started out by offering their own label of wine, as well as platters and coffee too.

Owner Matt Johnston said they were forced to close in March due to COVID, but have recently reopened and are taking a slightly new direction.

Cutting the coffee, they are now taking a bigger focus on the cellar door and bar experience.

“With the model now, we’re going in a different direction,” Matt said.

We are doing happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays and we are making it a place you can have a drink or buy your wine which you can take away.”

Located on the Esplanade of Aldinga Beach, Sourc’d Wine Collective & Bar have stunning views of the St Vincent Gulf.

With the help of winemakers and working with a number of vineyards in the Fleurieu region, Matt produces his own label of wine with BEACHFACE Wine Co.

This is available only through their cellar door. Sourc’d also offers a variety of other small batch wine, beer and spirit brands; many of which don’t have cellar doors of their own.

They have a takeaway licence which allows you to buy these products to take home and enjoy later.

There is a range of classic martinis made with local spirits, as well as red and white sangria made daily. Sourc’d offer espresso martini on tap and decaf-a-tinis for those who want to skip the caffeine.

To go along with the drinks, Sourc’d offer a range of platters and finger food to nibble.

“We do cheese platters, tapas, arancini and chorizo, as well dumplings,” Matt says.

Matt says occasionally the venue hosts live music, events, and pop-up tastings with their partner brands within the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu region. The space transforms into a little party celebrating the glorious region.

“We want people to experience a casual beachside experience where we can tell them all about our wines, the region and the produce.”

Sourc’d Wine Collective & Bar is located 2/160 Esplanade, Aldinga Beach SA 5173.
