Bowden Brewery and The Lost Loaf join forces to create a hot cross bun brown ale

Bowden Brewing have joined forces with The Lost Loaf to create a Hot Cross Buns Brown Ale just in time for Easter.

Easter can be a wild time when trying to secure yourself a bag of hot cross buns. They’re definitely the taste of the town throughout April.

Here to give you a liquid alternative option, the All Things Nice Hot Cross Buns Brown Ale is a malt forward, English-style brown ale.

The unique brew has dried fig, apricot, sultana and all of the spices that make The Lost Loaf’s Hot Cross Buns toast of the town.

Creators of the hot cross bun ale and Co-owners of Bowden brewery, Alex Marschall and Jake Phoenix, insist they haven’t gone hopping mad.

The All Things Nice Hot Cross Buns Brown Ale looks to be an excellent brew to try over Easter.

Alex said the collaboration with The Lost Loaf has been in the works for sometime.

“We have always wanted to collab with a bakery, and we just so happen to have one of SA’s best bakers right next door to us,” Alex said.

“Emma from Lost Loaf highlighted what a huge effort Bakers put in at Easter time to keep up with Hot Cross Bun supply; so we did our best to lend a hand and create a liquid alternative and with a decent kick (6.5%abv) to help get you through a long weekend with the extended family.”

Owner of The Lost Loaf, Emma Shearer said she loved her time collaborating with the boys from Bowden.

“Both concepts come from the fermentation process, but produce two completely different products,” Emma said.

“Making beer and buns with like minded people was very cool and very clever!”

All Things Nice is now available at Bowden Brewing and selected bottle shops across South Australia.
