There is talk about town amongst funky shop owners and groovy designers, from Pt Elliot to Croydon I keep hearing about the Bowerbird Bazaar … and now I can see what the fuss is all about.
With dates set for 26 – 28 March & 8 – 10th October 2010, Bowerbird Bazaar returns to Adelaide’s historic Queen’s Theatre as a bigger and even better showcase for Australian designer-makers. Event co-founders Jane Barwick and Rebekah Cichero report a big influx of new stallholders keen to present their work at this high-end event for local and interstate designer-makers. Featuring a wide range of high-quality, beautifully made wares including jewellery, textiles, lighting, furniture, bags, clothing, glass, artworks, stationery and toys, Bowerbird Bazaar provides a wonderful opportunity for local and interstate designers to promote their work. ‘It’s also a great way for retailers to source unique new products directly from the makers’, says Rebekah.
Both public and the trade will be welcomed over Bowerbird Bazaar’s three days. The event will also feature a larger eating area, giving foodies a chance to relax and soak up the atmosphere while they enjoy some of the top-notch culinary delights for which Adelaide is known, including wine, pastry and cakes, and coffees.
‘The second Bowerbird Bazaar is an event not to be missed.’ ‘We’ve done the hunting, you do the gathering…’
