Murray Bridge’s eating scene has just leveled up!
Brand-new pub the Bridgeport Hotel has just opened in the town after a $45 million transformation. The new venue boasts multiple eating areas––one with a high tea menu and one with a fun cocktail list––and accommodation equipped with a gym and pool.
The pub opened on June 8th with a front bar, a gaming room, accommodation, a pool, a pool bar exclusive for guests, functions rooms, a hotel gym, a bottle shop, and an alfresco eating area.
Overlooking the famous Murray River, the hotel has both the Rivergum Restaurant and lounge dining area. The Rivergum has upscale classics as well as more modern, international dishes. They have burgers, pizzas, schnitzels, salad, scotch fillet, and salads, as well as modern mains such as beetroot risotto, seafood share platters, and haloumi burgers. They also have many Asian-inspired dishes, such as duck spring rolls and shredded Thai salad, and an exciting drinks menu.
In addition to local wines, beer, and spirit offerings, the Rivergum menu also have a fun cocktail menu, boasting the likes of a gingerbread mojito and a “toblerone” with Frangelico and Baileys.
The Lounge dining area has its own identity, with a menu dedicated solely to high tea. With various scones, sandwiches, tarts, and muffins, this area is perfect for your deluxe dining needs.
According to the website, the space seeks to retain “its local identity, whilst completing an extensive and stylish new development.”
“Everything you could need or want is here – relaxing getaways, dining with friends, drinks by the pool, bustling sports bar and gaming, special events and celebrations, a place for business, time for yourself,” they say.
“Enjoy it all from our picturesque riverside location, close to local attractions.”
Open seven days a week, they serve breakfast 7am – 10am daily, lunch 12pm to 2.30pm, and dinner 5pm to 9pm.
