Breakfast Carbonara Is A Thing (And We Need It In Our Lives)

If you’re after the breakfast of Kings, we think we’ve found just the thing.

Look, Winter is coming, and while we mourn the upcoming loss of Game of Thrones from our lives, with the season only 3 episodes away from finishing, we need some comfort food to get us through.

Enter Breakfast Carbonara.

Pane e Latte on Regency Road is serving up this hearty dish as part of their extensive all-day breakfast menu, which is also packed full of other delicious surprises. But let’s not get distracted from why you’re here. BREAKFAST CARBONARA.

It’s a baked spaghetti nest, pecorino fondue, crispy quanciale (Italian cured meat), poached egg, cured egg yolk and pepper tuille. While it’s a healthy $18, this is worth giving up two serves of smashed avo for.

Other amazing dishes on their menu include the Tiramisu pancakes, Chilli Crab scrambled eggs, and the Scamorze Burger, which features smoked aged Mozzarella, a fried egg and pickles. There’s just too many to choose from, so I’d suggest checking out the menu before you go, so you don’t spend an hour drooling over the options while your mates wait impatiently.

The Broadview brunch destination aims to break traditional Italian culinary boundaries; blending them with local culture and produce.

The Pane e Latte kitchen serves all-day breakfast from 7am Tuesday through Friday ’til 3pm, and from 8:30am to 3pm Saturday & Sunday.

You’ll find them at 587 Regency Road, Broadview.
