It’s official! Kooyonga Golf Club will host the 2027 LIV Golf Adelaide event, taking over from Grange Golf Club, which has been home to the international tournament since its Australian debut in 2023.
Widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest private championship courses, Kooyonga has hosted multiple Australian Opens and state championships, welcoming golfing greats like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Greg Norman across its history.
This transition follows months of speculation and negotiations with Grange, where members were reportedly divided on whether to renew hosting rights. While the event brought record crowds, major exposure and financial success, an internal survey showed satisfaction among members had dropped from 89 to 69 per cent, with some citing disruption to facilities and pressure on club operations.
The announcement continues South Australia’s incredible LIV Golf momentum, which has generated over $217 million in economic benefit in just three years. The 2025 event delivered a record $81 million boost and drew more than 100,000 attendees over three days.
Premier Peter Malinauskas said securing Kooyonga ensures South Australia remains a powerhouse for major international events.
“LIV Golf Adelaide has been an economic success for our state — delivering more than $217 million in its first three years and helping cement South Australia as a global destination for major events,” he says.
“Securing Kooyonga continues that momentum, bringing visitors, jobs and investment into our economy while showcasing Adelaide to viewers across Australia and the world.”
Fans can also look forward to LIV Golf Adelaide 2026, returning to The Grange Golf Club from 13–15 February, with tickets now on sale and selling fast.
Meanwhile, construction is underway on the North Adelaide Golf Course redevelopment, set to transform the iconic city course into one of the world’s premier public golfing destinations, and the future home of LIV Golf from 2028.
