Parents, you can now enjoy a night out with friends and beers without worrying about what the kids are up to!
Much-loved tap house and kitchen Brewboys Brewery has unveiled a new kids corner stacked with games, and your children are bound to love it.
The area, painted with fun colours and murals of a ship and wheat, is filled with chalk boards, Connect Four, a play oven, and baskets full of other games to keep your child occupied while you enjoy your much-deserved drink and meal. There are also “adult games” if you want to join in on the fun, such as giant Jenga and card games.
Owner Owen Bavies says the kids corner, which already existed but has only recently been revamped, was a priority for their tap house.
“We have a family focus because I’m family-orientated myself,” Bavies says.
“I have children who spend lots of time here, and we’re family-owned, so we want to be family-friendly.”
The new games area is the first of more renovations to come, with the front exterior of the building set to get a facelift soon.

The venue, which has a beer garden, a tap room, an on-site brewery, and dining, has been in Croydon Park since 2008. They make their own beer, wine, spirits, alcoholic lemonades, and nonalcoholic soft drinks to serve alongside an Americana menu of wings, nuggets, burgers and desserts.
The spot, owned by Bavies and business partner Daniel Michael, also has functions, live music, and themed nights––such as an open mic night coming soon.
Bavies describes the brewery as “small, warm, and cozy” with big couches and a fireplace.
“We want you to feel like you’re at home,” he says.
“The kids can much around a bit, and then you can go home and do the inevitable nighttime routine.”
