As World Gin Day approaches, Brightstar Brewing, the latest addition to Thebarton’s thriving craft brewing scene, will host a unique event called “Cocktails on Canvas.” The event promises an unforgettable evening filled with art, creativity, and, of course, delicious beer and gin cocktails.
Experienced instructor Paula will guide attendees step-by-step in painting one of Brightstar Brewing’s signature beer and gin cocktails on canvas. Participants can choose from a selection of tempting options, including the Heavenly Nectar, Plumberliner G&T, Brightstar Punch, Stoutini, or Grapefruit Berliner G&T.

And to enhance the experience, guests can sip on their chosen cocktail while unleashing their inner artist.
The event welcomes everyone, regardless of their painting or creative abilities. It provides a fantastic opportunity for individuals to express their creativity while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Brightstar Brewing.
Brightstar Brewing, owned by Gareth and Megan Parker, is situated in the former Faulding factory site in the heart of Thebarton. The brewery and taphouse aim to bring a unique twist to the craft brewing scene by focusing on European-style beers like the ever popular Helles lager or Czech Pils, which will be back on tap this Friday.
The taphouse offers a warm and inviting space for families and friends to gather. The large lawn outside provides ample space for children to play, while the deck offers a perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing pint. The interior boasts a modern take on a Munich beer hall, with industrial elements juxtaposed with a calming green colour palette, designed by studio-gram. Natural light floods through the large windows, creating a welcoming ambiance.
The brewery also emphasises education, with Cicerone-certified staff who can provide in-depth knowledge about the different brews available, including the recently launched Dopplebock, and SA Dark Lager.
The name “Brightstar” signifies the rebalancing and positive outlook on life that the brewery aims to instill in its patrons. The Parkers hope to create an atmosphere where visitors can start afresh, discover new flavors, and embrace the bright feelings that come from exploring the world of beer.
