Like many small businesses in the current climate, lakeside restaurant Oar is introducing creative initiatives for customers.
Oar is home to large outside lawns with lake views and lots of room to move, and the restaurant is taking advantage of this space.
Customers are invited to bring along a picnic rug, find a spot on the lawn to sit, and have brunch delivered by Oar.
Local musician Josh Morphett will also be playing from 10am – 2pm tomorrow.
Last year, Oar was awarded Best Breakfast Restaurant (Metro South & West) in the R&CA’s Awards for Excellence, and the all-day brunch menu is extensive, emphasising local, fresh produce.
In another initiative, Oar has opened a mini mart, selling shopping list basics in the hopes of lessening pressure on supermarkets and keeping its suppliers in business.
The team will also be preparing meals customers can buy and take home, including pasta, pasta sauces, curries, sausage rolls, cakes and salads.
