Browns Barossa have released a new donut flavour topped with tasty honeycomb

A new salted caramel custard with choc honeycomb has just been released at the popular Browns Barossa in Tanunda.

Ahh, South Australians are absolute suckers for new flavours of donuts, especially when they look as mouth-watering as Browns Barossa’s.

They’ve just released a new donut flavour: salted caramel custard with choc honeycomb!

A few weeks ago they featured the new flavour as a Super Saturday Special and they had lines out of the door.

They’ve decided to bring back the fluffy, soft brioche donut that’s filled with thick salted caramel custard and topped with crumbled bits of delicious chocolate honeycomb.

The bakery is no stranger to creating delicious combinations. They have over 12 flavours each and every day, previously creating flavours like chocolate orange, crème brûlèe and Biscoff cheesecake.

For years Browns Barossa have crafted the most gorgeous and outrageous handcrafted donuts that are one of a kind flavours that you just need to see for yourself. 

They offer their followers tasty, insta-worthy donuts in the convenience of a walk-in store in Tanunda which opened up last year.

Owners Rachel and Dave started out cooking in their home kitchen before taking the business to a larger audience.

Being a small business themselves, David says there is a big emphasis on the importance of high quality, local ingredients. 

“We make things with the proper ingredients the best that we can,” David says.

“Our point of difference is the product – a lot of donuts are made from a pre-mix but we create our dough from scratch and use local, gourmet ingredients, and we hand roll every single donuts the old way. You get quality because there are no nasties in the dough, you just don’t get the quality anywhere else.”

Besides their well-known donuts, they also do coffee, cookies and buns!
