For lovers of cupcakes and all things hot pink, BTS Café is for you. And now there’s even more of their colourful sugary goodness to enjoy!

Much-loved BTS Café has opened a second location in Westfield Marion.

The cupcake and coffee shop’s original store is on Pirie Street and is hard to miss with its bright pink striped awnings. Owner Mel Beattie, who opened the café in 2019 with her husband, says that although the Marion location still has their signature cakes and coffees with South Australian ingredients, it has some differences too.

“The new location has a bench seat with four stools but doesn’t have the seated tables the Pirie Street location has,” she says.

“The new location has a more modern edge, grab-and-go feel to fit in at Marion.”

All of BTS’ cupcakes are made on-site, and the Marion store’s are frosted fresh as well.

“The frosting live adds pizzazz for people walking past,” Beattie tells us.

The owner says expansion had always been the plan for the café if possible, but with COVID, the motive behind the second location is two-fold.

“I always wanted to move further down the path of expansion, and with the city being up and down because of COVID, moving to areas outside of the CBD helps mitigate that risk,” she tells us.

The expansion is exciting for the business, and for us! We’re glad we can now get delicious cupcakes and coffee in the CBD and the bustling Marion shopping centre.

Find the original BTS Café at 33a Pirie Street, Adelaide and the new location at Kiosk 120, Westfield Marion.
