If there’s a season dedicated to comfort eating it has to be winter. Hands down – and we’re ok with that. In fact, we encourage it (just don’t tell our trainers).
But now that we’ve got that out the way. On Monday 24 July former pop-up Fringe venue turned permanent cafe/wine bar, Lindes Lane, is opening exclusively to host an epic Italian inspired degustation. “Buon Appetito – Let’s Eat!” will undoubtedly stamp out any winter blues by embracing season-friendly food and wine indulgences.
The winter showcase starts from 6pm, and consists of multiple seatings so you can reserve a table for what time suits you. The night will set you back just $60 for 4 courses, or $90 for food and matched wine.
The Lindes Lane team are keen to keep an element of surprise for their diners, so they’re we in terms of the menu, all we know is there will be truffle, chestnuts, porcini, game and cheese… in some form or another. They have however, confirmed that there is a dessert included, along with an optional cheese course.
Wine pairings for the night include Prosecco (sparkling) and three reds: Barbaresco, Sagrantino and Sangiovese.
