In its heyday, the Princeton Club was the ultimate place to be for sensational live music. Established in the early 1960s and initially held at The Greek Hall in Franklin Street until it found its home at the Burnside Ballroom, this musical institution would showcase the best Adelaide bands, as well as top acts from interstate and overseas.

A known hotspot for South Australia’s youth, the club was considered to be a cultural environment as well as a dance venue, and it changed and improved how live music was experienced and social connections were formed.

After taking a long hiatus, the club is back, and they’re relaunching in style at the beautifully restored Burnside Ballroom in Tusmore. No longer just targeting a youthful audience, the club is for all ages and walks of life.

With ten massive shows running from March through to December 2026, the club’s lineup will feature music from Australian legends, classic rock, iconic songbooks and timeless hits. The launch will showcase tunes from six decades of popular music, performed by talented heritage artists and premium tribute acts, all uniting for a series of captivating live entertainment. Think hits from legends like The Beatles, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Diamond.

Kicking off the launch will be the Australian rock band The Masters Apprentices – known for performing hits like Living in a Child’s Dream, Turn up your Radio and Wars or Hands of Time – on Saturday 21 March, followed by Mike Rudd with Tim Gaze on Saturday 11 April.

Whether you’re new to the Princeton Club or you’ve danced your way through several decades of their musical mastery, you won’t want to miss the relaunching of this timeless institution. Tickets are on sale now.
