Paul Kelly’s iconic voice gives depth and emotion to 19 poems with Camille O’Sullivan’s gorgeous Irish accent bringing elegance and grace to each and every one. Feargal Murry is superb on piano and Paul Bryne, Dan Kelly and Sokol Koka bring the show to life with their soulful sounds on Percussion, Electric Guitar and Cello.

The simple yet effective lighting techniques  add to the visualisation of the poetry captivating the audience and drawing them in on the emotional journey of each authors’ work.

My only criticism is that the interval ruins the flow of the show and the build up of emotions the audience feels is lost with no time to reach that point again before the show comes to an end.

The last poem is exceptional with Paul and Camille providing the best piece of theatre I have ever had the privilege of watching.
