Couture bridal label, Calèche, is renowned for creating breath-taking wedding and evening gowns, constructed with the finest details in mind. Established over four decades ago, Calèche’s designs are highly sought after. Their latest collection, La Bohème, is no exception.
Designer Liz Foubert has crafted over 40 collections during her time at Calèche and has dressed the likes of Belinda Sloane, Isabelle Jacobs, Greta Bradman, Georgia Love, and Rosanna Mangiarelli.
The La Bohème Collection consists of 27 gowns, six of which are exclusive couture pieces. The ensemble was crafted locally in the Calèche Norwood showroom with materials sourced from premium textile manufacturers including Italy, France, Japan and India.
Liz Foubert says, “I studied design in England and worked as a designer for high street labels Topshop and H&M before joining the Calèche family in France. This is where I drew inspiration for my newest collection. La Bohème means “free-spirited” in French and this is how I perceive my Adelaide brides – elegant, yet carefree and in love with life.
I’ve always emphasised the importance on creating an intimate journey for every bride, from the first fitting to the final stitch. I specifically had Adelaide brides in mind when designing this collection, from the concept right through to the finished product,” says Liz Foubert.
“We work with a wide selection of intricate fabrics and delicate laces, which are hand selected from across the globe to ensure each garment is not only beautiful but of the highest quality,” says Liz. “Our tailors and seamstresses are incredibly attentive to detail and we’re always welcoming of brides who want to witness their dream dress come to life.”
