Goodwood Road Is In Party Mode With Markets, Street Parties, and Christmas Decorating Competitions

There will also be over 30 stallholders showcasing their handmade and designed products, free activities for kids, and food vendors to enjoy as well.

Kicking off this Sunday, Goodwood Road is packing in the events before the holiday season comes in full swing.

Goodwood Arthouse Marketplace

This Sunday sees the Goodwood Primary School grounds open to the community for their annual Goodwood Arthouse Marketplace!

This year, established and emerging Adelaide-based artists have come together for a vibrant pop-up exhibition in the Performing Arts Centre.

Artworks will be for sale, with profits going to the primary school to enrich education programs.

Pop-up gallery artists include Poh Ling Yeow, Vans the Omega, Eliza Piro, Dan Tomkins, Michelle Fogden, Lissy Elliot, Sonya Unwin, Grace Myers, Selina Wallace, Ian McFarland, Cathy Gray Inkwork, Subi Designs, Bill Botten, Sheree Wright, Eddie White, and artist from the Ochre Dawn collective.

There will also be over 30 stallholders showcasing their handmade and designed products, free activities for kids, and food vendors to enjoy as well.

Featuring wares from handpicked local artisans within an all-inclusive atmosphere, Goodwood Arthouse Marketplace offers visitors a taste and experience of homegrown Adelaide design and arts talent, within the unique and eclectic Goodwood community precinct.

You can expect to peruse a boutique selection of stalls, including high quality homewares, fashion, jewellery, artwork and limited vintage items, as well as a selection of local produce and preserves!

Head on over to Goodwood Primary School (140 Goodwood Road) on Sunday, 10 November from 10am to 3pm to enjoy a great day out for the whole family.

Two Sisters Celebrate Summer Street Party

Later in the month, you’ll find Gilbert Street closed off for a massive party to celebrate the start of the summer, hosted by Two Sisters Food & Wine!

You can expect live music on the street from some favourite local artists, plus summer cocktails (we’re so there), South Australian beer and wine, and activities for the kids.

The street party kicks off on November 16 at 12noon and runs until 9pm.

Christmas Decoration Competition

We don’t have too many details for this one just yet, but keep an eye out for the Goodwood Road Christmas Decoration Competition.

The competition will be fierce on Goodwood Road and one lucky voter will win a $250 cash account with Goodwood Community Bank.

Not only can you win a bit of cash, but you get to do one of our favourite Chrissy past times — driving around and having a look at businesses decked out in lights and decorations!

Voting opens on 3 December — we’ll be back with details soon.
