Riverland Wine & Food Festival locks in three days of celebrations this October

The 2020 Riverland Wine and Food Festival is set to bring some event joy back into our lives this Spring!

The 2020 Riverland Wine and Food Festival is set to bring some event joy back into our lives this Spring, with the weekend of October 16 – 18 secured for the three day celebration.

While there will be some changes to the festival (like every event at the moment!) it’s still tipped to be an incredible showcase of the Riverland’s best produce, across a series of individual events.

The Riverland Wine and Food Festival is an annual tradition in the Riverland region offering an opportunity to showcase the region’s food, wine and produce and bring the community together.

It is a highlight of the South Australian events calendar and attracts local, intrastate and interstate visitors, delivering social and economic benefits to the region.

In 2020, plans have been adapted for the Riverland Wine & Food Festival as it’s not viable to hold the event in the usual party on the Riverbanks style format this year due to the COVID-19 global pandemic and social distancing requirements.

This year instead, they will be delivering the 2020 event in an alternate format whereby individual businesses (wineries, distilleries, breweries, producers) host individual events at their own venues (or in partnership with other venues) over the weekend 16-18 October.

One such event is the 919 Wines and Illalangi Gourmet Foods Gourmet Grooves and Graze

The concept is simple. Just choose your session for Brunch, Lunch or Chill.

Gourmet Grooves and Graze is being held on either Saturday October 17th or Sunday October 18th, and your ticket includes:

  • Your Riverland Wine and Food Festival glass
  • A complimentary glass of wine from 919 Wines or Illalangi
  • The dulcet tones of The Bowerbirds (Smooth Grooves lunchtime session only)
  • Your gourmet picnic box, with a selection of the finest Riverland produce for your brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. Your picnic includes a warm tart of your choice, local Hand Made and Hand Picked nuts, fruits, condiments and artisan South Australian cheese. Vegan, gluten free and other dietary requirements available – please put your requirements in the notes at checkout.

Due to Covid-19 protocols they are offering Grooves and Graze for 3 sessions.

  • Brunch is 10am-11.45am
  • Lunch is 12noon-2.00pm
  • Chill is 2.30 – 5.00pm
