Sparkling Fest at the National Wine Centre

National Wine Centre are not letting 2020 dull their ‘sparkle’ and are excited to announce that tickets to this year’s Sparkling Fest (formerly Champagne Fest) are now available! The festival format will differ slightly this year, with the usual one day event offered in the form of a five part series.
SPARKLING FEST MASTERCLASSES:
LOCAL GEMS MASTERCLASS I SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER, 1:30pm – 3pm I $75PP
Join our Head Sommelier as we venture through some of Australia’s best sparkling wines. We will be looking at examples from across Australia looking at producers including Deviation Road (Adelaide Hills, S.A), Stefano Lubiana (Tasmania) and Sittella (Pemberton, W.A). Masterclass includes 6 tastings
SPARKLING ACROSS THE WORLD MASTERCLASS I SUNDAY 18 OCTOBER, 1:30pm – 3pm I $75PP
Join our Head Sommelier as we look at sparkling wines from across the world. We will be showcasing sparkling wines from Europe as we look at different styles from France, Spain and Italy. Masterclass includes 6 tastings.
BIG HOUSE CHAMPAGNE MASTERCLASS I SUNDAY 25 OCTOBER, 1:30pm – 3pm I $95PP
Join our Head Sommelier as we look at some of the most well-known Champagne labels. This masterclass will look at the different ‘house’ styles as we look at some amazing Champagne from houses like Bollinger, Pol Roger and Louis Roederer. Masterclass includes 6 tastings
GROWER CHAMPAGNE MASTERCLASS I SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER I 1:30pm – 3pm I $95PP
Join our Head Sommelier as we discover some of the smaller Champagne producers with our Grower Masterclass. We will look at different styles of Champagne from across the region, this is one not to miss for all those who love a new discovery. Masterclass includes 6 tastings
SPARKLING FEST DINNER:
DEVIATION ROAD SEAFOOD AND SPARKLING DINNER I 4 COURSES I THURSDAY 15 OCTOBER I 6:30pm – 10:30pm I $180PP
Deviation Road produces exciting cool climate wines from mature vineyard resources in the Adelaide Hills, where owners Hamish and Kate Laurie continue a five-generation family winemaking tradition. Their range of sparkling wines have received many accolades, confirming Deviation Road as one of Australia’s premium sparkling wine producers.
Indulge in a stunning 4 course seafood dinner designed by Executive Chef Steven Clark to work in harmony with the paired Deviation Road méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines.
You will be guided through the evening by hosts Hamish and Kate Laurie, along with Head Sommelier James Boden as they share their extensive knowledge and insights into the wonderful world of local sparkling.
An evening not to be missed by lovers of bubbles and seafood alike – tickets are limited.
Sparkling Fest will continue on in our Wined Bar throughout October with Champagne and Sparkling wine flights, brunch boards and live music on Sunday afternoons. Keep an eye on our social pages for further details.
