Masterchef star Callum Hann will join Senior Winemaker James Evers at McGuigan Wines for the second McGuigan Seasonal Market taking place Sunday 3rd October 2010 in South Australia’s picturesque Barossa Valley.
The farmers market style event will take place at the home of McGuigan Barossa Valley and former home of Chateau Yaldara and will showcase the finest local produce alongside wine tasting, live music and children’s activities.
Callum Hann will be sharing his culinary talent and doing a series of simple cooking demonstrations for visitors to the market using produce collected from the market.
Callum comments;
‘Growing up in the Barossa Valley meant that some of Australia’s best produce was right on my doorstep and the McGuigan Seasonal Market is a great way for people from all over to discover the best that Barossa has to offer. It is about celebrating our great food and great wine and I am looking forward to creating some exciting dishes with produce straight from the market’
In addition to the freshest local fruit & vegetables, quality meats and artisan local cheeses, producers showcasing beautiful cakes, infused olive oils, native foods, fresh flowers and herbs and many more will have their finest fare for all to enjoy.
Guests can also enjoy a glass of wine from award winning McGuigan Wines, International Winemaker of the Year in 2009, at the International Wine and Spirit Competition, London. A fine selection of their wines will be available at the market, including the 2004 Shortlist Riesling, awarded Best Riesling in the world and the 2007 McGuigan Handmade Shiraz.
With children’s games and a jumping castle in the secret garden, live music from renowned local crooners Milo and Otis and a mouth watering selection of hot food, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy!

Our Spring market will showcase the best of the Barossa with fine food, great wine and a fantastic day out for the whole family!
