Family owned winery and olive grove, Lloyd Brothers, is getting spicy this long weekend. They’re bringing back their epic Chilli Shack for a day full of food, wine and fun.
Callum Hann, and the team at Sprout, will be serving up three mouthwatering chilli dishes. There will be a chilli prawn, chilli pork, and a chilli eggplant. There’s options for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans.
And if you need a break from the spice, there will also be chicken and chorizo paella and vegetarian paella which are both chilli free. So you can breathe.
And of course, you can pair these delicious meals with Lloyd Brothers’ amazing selection of wines. Maybe their Estate Shiraz, or a glass of their Estate Picpoul. And all of their wines are vegan friendly.
With the $55 ticket price comes a Chilli Shack dish, the first glass of Lloyd Brothers wine, and a branded Riedel glass to take home with you after the fact.
And all the while, you’ll be able to enjoy the soulful tunes by Brad Lee.
The event is family friendly with exciting gift packs to keep the kids entertained and full. The $20 entry pack will include yummy snacks with a toasted sandwich, popcorn, a smiley face biscuit, Mountain Fresh juice and fruit, as well as a fun colouring pack.
And if you’re wondering what to do in terms of transport, they’ve thought of that too. There are return busses travelling from both the Warradale Hotel and the Kensington Hotel, leaving at 11:30am and departing Lloyd Brothers at 4:30pm. These can be booked when you purchase a ticket.
General Manager Sam Temme is expecting the event to be a sellout, saying “we’ve run a few of these in the past, and they have always been hugely popular.”
Lloyd Brothers is a family-owned winery and olive grove in the heart of McLaren Vale. The Lloyd Brothers are third generation SA vignerons, starting with their grandfather who planted vines and made wine in the 1960s. The team produces wine and olives to highlight the premium fruit grown on their Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale estates.
Their 65 hectare McLaren Vale estate is home to a cellar door, winery and purpose-built barrel hall where the team hosts festivals, weddings and events.
