Caring for Carrick Hill

carrick hill 1Carrick Hill in Springfield is currently undergoing a major restoration project to see the stone work, roof, windows and other external features restored to their original glory.

Carrick Hill house is a stately manor, a living treasure filled with art, antiques and flowers, surrounded by sweeping lawns, tall hedges, and intimate gardens sprinkled with sculptures and shady trees.

The important restoration works at Carrick Hill have been sponsored by Arts SA and the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) to ensure that Carrick Hill is cared for and enjoyed by many future generations.

The Elms terrace, with its pleached pear arbour, flower gardens and rolling lawns overlooking St Vincent Gulf, and the Cypress Pines, with terraced lawns and cypress walkway overlooking the ponds, are both lovely settings for a garden wedding ceremony. The onsite marquee is the perfect place for wedding receptions all year round, with or without a preceding ceremony, and pre-dinner drinks outside on the terrace with the fully restored mullioned windows glistening in summer with Carrick Hill house as a backdrop makes for an exclusive and magical experience for all.
