Bowden Cellars have shared on their Facebook page that after a successful three-year partnership, CARŌclub will be leaving their current location at Plant 3 Bowden. This Adelaide favourite launched its brick and mortar presence within Bowden Cellars’ space in early 2021, marking a significant phase for the food truck renowned for its delicious burgers and fried chicken.
According to the social media update, CARŌclub will continue to serve patrons at their Edwardstown establishment at 930 South Road, as well as operate their mobile food truck. The post shared heartfelt messages from the CARŌclub team, expressing gratitude towards the Bowden community and the opportunities presented during their time at Plant 3.
“Mates. We’ve got some bittersweet news for you, after 3 beautiful years at our Plant 3 Bowden location, it’s come time for us to say goodbye to the Bowden community,” shared CARŌclub.
“We first of all want to thank our amazing house mates Bowden Cellars for giving us the opportunity to take our food truck from the streets of Adelaide to a bricks and mortar location
“Dale and Josh came to us with a vision for this space and we watched Plant 3 transform from a tired old warehouse into the most incredibly warm, light filled, welcoming bar and restaurant that we ever could have imagined and we felt so lucky to call it our new home
“Then we met the people, the amazing Bowden community who embraced us, dined with us, became our friends and supported us across the last 3 years – thank you.
“Finally to all our INCREDIBLE staff, present and past both in the kitchen and out the front, thank you we bloody love you – you made Bowden special
“We now make way for something new as Bowden Cellars will bring you an exciting new offering to their kitchen and we can’t wait to see this next phase come to life.
“Our last day of trade at Bowden will be Sunday July 7th, so we hope to see as many of your faces roll through across the next few weeks, before we make way for the new and exciting offering taking the reins
“Surely we need a sneaky last hoorah? Keep an eye on our socials for details
“AND don’t forget, you’ll still be able to get your fix at our sister location 930 South Rd, Edwardstown. Much love, CC Team x”
The departure marks the end of an era for CARŌclub at Bowden but opens the door to new opportunities for Bowden Cellars, who hinted at an upcoming “exciting new offering” in their kitchen space.
CARŌclub has been a popular name in Adelaide’s food scene since its start in mid-2017. Founders Tim Attiwill, Kyle McLean, and Kain Slotegraaf, initially gained recognition slinging gourmet burgers and succulent fried chicken from their food truck at various events including The Garden of Unearthly Delights and the Royal Adelaide Show. Their partnership with Bowden Cellars allowed them to serve a permanent crowd, widening their appeal amongst locals.
As for Bowden Cellars, owned by Dale Wostikow and Josh Voigt, this change allows them to revitalise their offerings within the Plant 3 space. The establishment’s commitment to enhancing Adelaide’s culinary and wine industry continues, with preparations to introduce a fresh concept to their kitchen.
The next few weeks promise to be momentous for both CARŌclub and Bowden Cellars as they transition into their respective new phases. The local community and CARŌclub enthusiasts alike are invited to take part in the final celebrations at Bowden Cellars.
